The Slip On
Our barefoot slip-on shoes were our debut style, built with a construction passed down through more than five generations of European cobblers. We start with a vegetable-tanned water buffalo leather sole. This leather is more porous than typical cow sole leather, so it breathes naturally. It's extremely durable, yet flexible and moldable for comfort.
The sole is sewn by hand, stitch by stitch, to the upper using a single strand of heavy-gauge 100% cotton thread rolled in beeswax for strength. We use premium sheepskin lining and zero synthetic materials, so your feet can breathe without socks. A pure copper rivet runs through the sole just behind the ball of your foot, touching both your foot and the ground.
Our minimalist upper, in top-grain leather or premium suede, has no internal structures, reinforcements or supports. It's the ultimate packable travel shoe, and the deconstructed upper lets your feet move freely. Zero-drop soles with no arch support mean you walk the way you would barefoot.
